On November 28th, the famous sculpture “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” was installed on the pedestal after restoration which lasted more than five years. Its reinstallation date was postponed several times. The monument of “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” was created in 1937 by Vera Mukhina. It was in the Soviet pavilion at the World’s Fair in Paris. Two years later the sculpture was installed just outside the Northern entrance to the Exhibition of Achievements of the People’s Economy in Moscow. On November 28th, the sculpture returned to its original place after long-drown restoration.
